The Starz Program™ is committed to enriching lives. We promote fitness which we believe improves self-esteem and overall well-being.​​ Starz was founded in 2005 after seeing a need to provide fundamental skills in the areas of fitness to preschool age children. Starz operates within schools, both public and private, and has a wealth of propriety operational guidelines to include specialized curriculum's in the areas of Dance, Sports Skills, Cheer and Fitness. By providing fitness based enrichment classes on-site in schools and at other facilities, we make it easy for busy families to help their children develop the skills they need to get moving and stay active. Parents that have experienced our program often select their child's next school based on which schools we serve. The impeccable standards and professionalism Starz holds make us second to none.

Sophia created the Starz Program in 2005 after seeing the need to bring fun, skill-based fitness programs into schools. She is a graduate of the prestigious Governor's School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA. She also taught at The Virginia Performing Arts Academy and for the Virginia Department of Education. She earned a Master’s degree in education with a focus in exercise science and wellness. In addition to being an educator, Sophia is a mom whose son, Vinny lights up her world. She firmly believes that exercise combined with proper nutrition play vital roles in our overall health and wellness. In 2016 The Starz Program began franchising. It is a wonderful business model that benefits not only the children and community but its owners as well. Sophia plans to continue to grow The Starz Program into a national enterprise so that thousands of children can be encouraged to shine one at a time!

Megan joined the Starz Team in 2011. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dance from Radford University and is a degreed member of Dance Masters of America, INC and a member of the Dance Teachers Association of Virginia Chapter 45. Megan began her journey with Starz as a dance instructor and specialist, and has enjoyed growing with the company year after year. Megan assisted in expanding The Starz Program in Palm Beach County the summer of 2014. She believes that fitness and especially dance WILL promote confidence, happiness, and kindness in children. Megan looks forward to spreading shine to every child with Starz for years to come.

Brittany joined the Starz Team in 2014. Born in Montana, she is a lover of being outdoors. Brittany was a member of the United States Baton Twirling Team. She traveled abroad every summer for the World Championships, where her team took away a few Silver and Bronze medals. Brittany is also an avid runner, completing 4 Full Marathons and countless Half Marathons. She is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine with her Personal Training License as well as certificates as a Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise Specialist. She also studied Early Childhood Education at Grosssmont College in San Diego, and at the University of Montana. She enjoys blending her passions of Fitness and Working with Children at the STARZ Program. Brittany is very passionate about helping people of all ages understand the importance of being active. She loves encouraging, and helping kids grow and learn about health and fitness through the STARZ program! Shine Bright!
